Ben Nevis
Would you like to trek to the summit of Ben Nevis, at 1343m (4406 ft) the highest point in the UK, but have little or no hill-walking experience?
We can help you achieve your goal. We run accompanied Ben Nevis treks, available on most days throughout the year, using the popular Pony Track (aka the tourist path) as well as other routes, eg Carn Mor Dearg Arete.
All our trek leaders are fully qualified, very experienced and carry a comprehensive range of safety equipment including medical kit and portable shelter. They know the history of the mountain , and can tell you about the observatory, the early climbers, the tunnel, the surrounding area and much more besides.
You will need some basic equipment to climb Ben Nevis; a kit-list can be downloaded here. Osprey Adventures can supply all of the required items (except footwear) for a modest charge. Alternatively, we can provide advice on the suitability of your own clothing and equipment.
Guided Walks
We can provide a guide to accompany you and your party on Ben Nevis. The main routes to the summit are via the Pony Track or the CMD Arete and you can find further details on these routes by viewing their respective pages.
Winter Ascents
For those looking for an extra challenge, we also provide winter ascents of the Ben which can be viewed via the link on the left..
Advance booking is required for these Ben Nevis excursion although short notice trips can occasionally be run. To book, please call us on (01463) 216125. We are happy to accommodate your choice of departure time and route wherever possible. The trip, via the tourist path, lasts approximately 8 hours on average and on the CMD Arete, 10 hours (times are for summer ascents).
Inclusive Packages
We can also provide inclusive Ben Nevis packages from our Inverness guest house. The standard package includes:
- Pickup & drop-off at point of arrival/departure (eg airport, railway station etc)
- Two nights bed & breakfast in en-suite accommodation plus packed lunch for the climb.
- Transport to/from Ben Nevis and guided ascent
Package cost: 1 person £245 (£275 June-Sept).
2 or more £165pp when sharing a twin or double room.

Charity Challenges
Every year we run dozens of charity challenges on Ben Nevis helping many
individuals and organisations raise money for a host of good causes. We've taken a gorilla to the top (ok, it was a bloke in a suit) and we've even helped a lucky couple get married on the summit during a fundraising ascent. In November. In a blizzard!

All of our charity events are organised to meet the precise requirements of the group. For example, as well as safety cover on the mountain, we can organise transport, accommodation, dining and a host of other requirements (gorilla suits and weddings??).
